Cmdr's Message |
Dear Brother Sir Knights,
Let me start by wishing
everyone a healthy and happy New Year. I hope that everyone’s Christmas
season was full of many blessings and the joy of the Christ child being
born brought you closer to him in your hearts.
With that said, I would like to thank all the
brother Sir Knights who have been coming out for the recent callouts.
The Christmas parade was such a spiritual enlightenment; being able to
walk the route and share the words of “Merry Christmas” and “Keep Christ
in Christmas” to the thousands of people along the way. The recent
turnout at St. Rita’s to bless their new altar was very spiritual also
and the church was decorated beautifully.
But the most important callout of all we were a
little weak on the numbers. That callout was the viewing and funeral
mass of Sir Knight Edward Gentile. Eddie was a charter member of our
assembly. For you men who are not familiar with what a charter member
is; it means Eddie was one of the first members to sign the charter to
be able to start the assembly which we all belong to. I know it was on
short notice and the viewing was on a Friday night, but this is why we
call ourselves “BROTHER” Knights. I consider each and every one of you
my brothers, and will do my best to be “any time, any place, anywhere”
for you when you are in need or on troubled times.
All any brother knight can ask is if you give it
your best effort to be there when called. I know we can’t participate at
all callouts, but I strongly feel the viewings and the funerals are the
most important to be at. This is the last time you will have with your
brother and his family is in need of your support.
Keep up the good work. I am so proud to be able
to lead such a great group of catholic gentlemen.
May God Bless you and your Families,
Kevin Moore
